ARMA Symposium

The American Rock Mechanical Association (ARMA) organised the 50th Rock Mechanics/Geomechanics Symposium in Houston (Texas) from 26th - 29th of June. The yearly symposium, with hundreds of participants, is dedicated to all aspects of geotechnics, from petroleum and civil engineering to mining and waste disposal. The IfG has attended the symposium (as we did the previuous years) and presented new results: One paper discussed the issue of longwall caving in potash mining, while another one considered deep borehole disposal of nuclear waste. The presentations are available in the download area.
